Missions and Capabilities

Airlift Helicopters Inc. has developed a number of different special application attachments for the Hughes 500 (MD 500D) helicopter to allow us the flexibility to perform specialized missions such as photography, geomagnetic surveys, special cargo considerations and other equipment specifications. At left is the "Shaleighlagh", a specially designed geomagnetic boom attachment that allows the customer to configure the helicopter for various geomagnetic and radiometric aerial surveys.  The MD 500D is one of the most economical platforms avialable for geomagnetic surveys.
